It’s always easier working with people who have lots of experience in front of the camera, professional actors or TV presenters but it’s more rewarding working with people who have never been on camera before. Walking someone through something that’s new to them and seeing them succeed is a great feeling.
When we arrive onsite to start filming people often feel nervous, it’s been a big build-up for them to agree to be in the video, but our team and really good at helping them relax, have fun and settle into the filming – watching videos like the ones we’ve created for The Gorilla Pit – it’s easy to forget that the people sharing their stories haven’t done this before. It’s a skill to help people thrive in a new environment and we’re really thankful that’s something we get to regularly help people do.
