This project unfolded over a couple of years, documenting the construction of Hai Lang property starting in 2022. We regularly visited the site to capture the build’s progress on camera.
After two years of chronicling the construction process, it took around 8-hours to film the final walk-through video. This provided us with a structured script and narrative around which to shape our extensive footage during the editing phase.
Originally planned as a 5-minute video, the project evolved into a compelling short documentary. Even during the final walk-through filming, we continued to capture tradespeople adding finishing touches, adjusting cables, and finalising details.
The editing process resembled piecing together a documentary, aligning timelines and carefully selecting from a wealth of footage gathered over an extended period. It was both enjoyable and demanding to bring this project to fruition.
